TNT lets you transcode, normalize and tag audio files without having to understand what any of those words mean.
Version 1.0.2
Released: 3 November, 2025

What does it do?
TNT is built for the situations where it is necessary to get an audio file to another format, preferably right now.
TNT utilizes powerful tools, and makes it human-oriented, so that anyone can get things done ASAP.
In simple mode, TNT helps you transcode (change audio formats) and normalize to EBU/ATSC/Custom standards. The user gets to choose from three formats that are named so that non-technical users understand what they are for.
In advanced mode it allows you to do these, but also lets you set your desired audio settings, such as bitrate, bit depth, sampling rate. You can also normalize with custom loudness targets. Advanced mode also introduces a ReplayGain tagging function, which can be chosen if normalization is not necessary.
Encoders
TNT includes the most commonly used audio encoders.
Fraunhofer FDK AAC
Advanced Audio Coding (AAC)
AAC is a modern audio encoder that achieves great results even with low bitrates. This encoder is considered as one of the best AAC encoders, with only the Apple's AAC encoder being above it.
On Mac, the user may opt to use Apple's AudioToolbox AAC encoder.
Opus Interactive Audio Format
Opus
Opus is the one of the newest audio encoders available. Thanks to it's low algorithmic delay, it's best suited for live applications, but works as well for audio files. Opus can be optimized for human voice, making it exceptionally great for radio, where file size may be restricted for example due to challenging networking situations out in the field.
TNT utilizes Opus' speech optimization by a click of a button.
LAME
MPEG-II Layer 3 (MP3)
This is the audio format we've all heard before. When compared to the two encoders mentioned above, this is not as great on equal bitrates, but on the other hand, is one of the most compatible encoding formats out there.
PCM
Pulse Code Modulation (WAV)
PCM is raw, uncompressed audio data which is used to digitally represent analog signals.
