Between December 2024 and February 2025, we researched the potential use of LEO satellites as part of the government's preparedness for crisis situations.
The results were presented to the Ministry of Transport and Communications in April 2025.
We developed a framework for crisis communications, where LEO satellites act as a backup system when traditional communication networks are unavailable. I personally tested the Starlink system on the eastern border and found it to be technically viable for radio and TV transmissions. The results showed that we need a reliable European solution, as foreign systems pose significant risks in crisis situations. The project lays the foundation for national preparedness and standardization of satellite communications.
